Ecommerce reporting

Shopify sales & inventory reporting

Sales, stock, and margin data were spread across Shopify exports, supplier files, and manual spreadsheets. The business needed a single view of commercial performance and stock risk.

The ecommerce reporting challenge

Ecommerce reporting combines commercial and operational questions: what sold, at what margin, and what stock risk is building. When each answer comes from a different export, the reporting cycle becomes slow and product-level comparisons are difficult.

The project needed to connect sales, margin, and stock information into one reporting view.

The reporting approach

The project used Shopify, Excel, and Python. Source exports were prepared for analysis and combined into a reporting view that supported sales, margin, and stock decisions.

The focus was on a consistent commercial view rather than a set of disconnected charts.

The outcome

The delivered result was a single view of sales, margin, and stock risk. Client identity remains withheld.

Confirmed outcome

A single view of sales, margin, and stock risk.
